Remembering Rockford

The most important way to help the campaign is to register online. Your name and contact information will become part of a grassroots mailing list that will enable us to keep in touch with you throughout the campaign. Click Here to Register!

Next, we would love to have you visit Rockford. Please get to know the village and its people. Call us for a tour of our sites and see what Rockford has to offer! Click Here to Contact Us!

Of course, the campaign needs your financial assistance. If just 385 people were to donate $1,000 each, we could finish all three restorations within the next 12 to 18 months. Whatever you can give would be very much appreciated. And it’s totally tax-deductible. Click Here to Donate Any Amount!

If you would rather sponsor a small fundraiser, such as a bake sale or craft fair, please let us know. One supporter has painted a picture of the 1914 Rockford Methodist Church and allowed us to use her painting to create prints and note cards to sell. We love creative ideas. Or, if you would like to volunteer your time, please let us know. For the campaign, we need clerical and administrative assistance, as well as plenty of help combing Internet resources to alert Rockford descendants about what is happening. For the restorations, we need painters, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, building contractors and landscapers. Click Here to Offer Your Services!

Through the campaign, we hope to collect additional documentary photographs of Rockford and its people. If you have any photographs that would enhance our historical collection, we would appreciate a copy. Photographs may be submitted online to rps@rememberrockford.com. Or print copies may be sent to Rockford Preservation Society, 4844 Rockford Road, Dobson, N.C. 27017.

Thank you for caring about our wonderful little village. We are looking forward to working with you. Please visit our Web site often and tell your friends about Rockford.
